i find it really interesting that he grew up in the circumstances that he was in. its amazing that from where he came fromhe is now teaching at such a high level. I also Know where he is coming from when he talks about "just Getting by" it so easy to just stare off into space or to doodle on your paper to make it look like you are paying attention or taking notes. "i just wana be average" makes sense, just want to get by, dont want to do great, like just give me a passing grade and i will get out of here. however with out teachers encouraging him he would not be in the place he is in today. i really liked reading this, it sorta related to what is so common in schools and made sense from it all.
